Robin Seidman

Theatre Decatur is producing Paint!, a national children's musical finalist, which will begin touring Feb 11, '06 at the Aurora Theater. Robin's other children's musical, Squid Kids, will commence its tour Jan 28th with Cobb Playhouse's School Day Theater program. Muting Blue will be produced in Atlanta in April, '06. Women of Roswell earned "Best New Play" at the Georgia Theater Conference.

Last May's productions included Onstage Atlanta's Paint!, Atlanta Classical Theater's Javasu, Cobb Playhouse's Blue Suede Inn, and Whole World Theater's Strange Gods.

Published in 'O Georgia, Robin's short stories have also won first place awards in Creative Loafing and Georgia Writer's Association's annual competitions. Robin's plays have been showcased at Atlanta area stages including Jewish Theater of the South (Saudade), Process Theater (Hotel Burqua, Speed Date), Theater Gael (Ma Crime), Chattahoochee Tech (On Ice), and Georgia Tech (Dark Heart/commissioned piece.) She was invited to be Carol Mitchell Leon's guest playwright at Clark Atlanta University (Stork Stories) and Creative Loafing's guest author at Atlanta's Margaret Mitchell House (Mysterium Tremendum).

When a Chicago resident, Chicago Dramatists produced her full length romantic comedy (Cows in a Snowstorm). A Cobb County teacher of the gifted, Robin is an active member of the SCBWI, and serves on the Boards of Working Title Playwrights and The Process Theatre.
