THE KICK-ASS SERIES: ACT ONE A Gonzo Playwriting Workshop in Four Parts
March 15 - April 6, 2008 - 1-4 pm
Attention Playwrights -- Experienced and Aspiring.
Admit it. You're not writing as much as you should. Or you're writing like crazy but it's not turning out the way it should. Or your inspiration keeps leaving for an extended holiday. Or you send out yourplay and the silence is deafening.
Maybe you're just no good
…But we doubt it.
WE CAN HELP
…by introducing a series of tools that you can use to jump-start your writing in a significant and meaningful way. The four sessions of this series are designed to motivate you to write kick-ass plays and to find your own unique voice and style along the way. It starts with some basics you didn't know you needed and then throws in some novel concepts that will kick you towards becoming the writer you were meant to be.
Part I: DRAIN YOUR BRAIN -- Getting Started. March 15
Part II: BUILD THE PLAY -- Creating Structure. March 29
Part III: TRIM THE HEDGE -- Developing Story. April 12
Part IV: FEED YOUR MUSE -- Finding Voice. April 26
Each session includes writing, reading, sharing, discussion, and critique. Participants must sign up for the whole four-part series and must provide their own writing materials. Space is limited - reserve your seat today!
