Talkin Bout My Generation: A Five-Minute Festival

On June 4th, WTP will join forces with The Process Theatre Company and Horizon Theatre to present a one night benefit event: Talkin Bout My Generation: A Five-Minute FestivalThe Process Theatre Company, Horizon Theatre, and Working Title Playwrights present the premiere of Talkin Bout My Generation: A Five-Minute Festival. Atlanta’s top playwrights come together with up-and-coming playwrights from The New South Young Playwrights Festival to bring you the cities first ever 5 minutes play festival. Talkin Bout My Generation takes a comic and heartwarming look at growing up in America over the past 40 years. June 4th at 8pm at the Horizon Theatre. Tickets are $10. For this event, local playwrights including Evan Guilford-Blake, Suehyla El-Attar, Topher Payne, Robin Siedman, Marki Shalloe, Daniel Walsh, and Steve Yockey will team up with young playwrights from Horizon Theatre's New South Young Playwrights Festival to present a series of five-minute plays.
Readings will be performed by actors including Lynne Ash, Dan Balmer, Marcelo Banderas, Jane Bass, Kara Cantrell, Barbara Cole, Theresa Cunningham, Luis Hernandez, Amy Holt, Josie Burgin-Lawson, Marcie Millard, Katie Merritt, Betty Mitchell, and Topher Payne. The plays will be directed by Evan Guilford-Blake, Barbara Cole, Joe Gafaller, Betty Hart, DeWayne Morgan and Jeanette Stinson.
The artists involved are all donating their time and talents, and all proceeds will go to benefit the three organizations.
