May 10th, 2006 at 7.30pm
Continuing WTP's Playwrights And... Series is "Eating The Singletaries: Tales from a Tall Redhead," an evening of work by Jill PatrickPlaywrights and... is designed to showcase the "other" work of Atlanta-area playwrights who have created a substantial body of work in other literary arts. "Eating The Singletaries: Tales from a Tall Redhead" is a verbal anthology of poems, essays and dramatic monologues which offers sometimes humorous, sometimes wrenching insights into Jill's "world of her dysfunctional gene pool."
Jill's produced plays include If I Told You I Love You Would You Believe Me, staged by Mary Moody Northen Theater, and Dangerous, presented by Renascence Productions, both of Austin, Texas. Her poetry has been published in Creative License, Red Hills Review, and as part of New Millennium Writings from University of Tennessee press' New Messenger Books. Her biographical sketch, The Art of Being Jodhi May, appears online.
