Playwrights And... Reading Series

Continuing WTP's Playwrights And... Series is "Imagination as Religion," an evening of work by playwright, poet, novelist and "travelogue-ist" Marian X

Playwrights and... is designed to showcase the "other" work of Atlanta-area playwrights who have created a substantial body of work in other literary arts

Marian X is the author of nine plays, two travelogues, a collection of poetry and is currently at work on her first novel. Her plays have been produced at various venues across the United States and in Cape Town, South Africa. She is a graduate of Morgan State University (B.A. English) and Villanova University (M. A. Theater). Her extensive credits include numerous awards and fellowships, including the Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts, a TCG Playwriting Residency Fellowship, a Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship in the Arts, a Pew Charitable Trusts Fellowship in the Arts, a Playwrights’ Exchange Residency (Pew), a Kennedy Center ACT Festival XXV Region II Playwriting Award and a New Professional Theatre Playwriting Award (NYC).

Playwrights and... will conclude on May 10th with the work of Jill Patrick.
