Playwrights And... Reading Series

Pamela Turner will kick off WTP's new series, reading a selection of poetry, essays, and dramatic monologues.Playwrights and... is designed to showcase the "other" work of Atlanta-area playwrights who have created a substantial body of work in other literary arts
Pamela Turner, first and second-place winner of the 2001 Augusta Arts Council's Porter Fleming Award and a finalist for the 2004 Heideman Award, has had plays staged at 7 Stages, Theatre Gael, 14th Street Playhouse, and the Academy Theatre, as well as at Charleston's Spoleto Festival, New York's Pulse Ensemble Theatre, and the Women Playwrights International Conference in Galway, Ireland. She has had "and..." work published by Gordon and Breach Publishers and in the literary journals Lit and Aletheia, among others.
Playwrights and... will continue on March 8th with readings by Marian X, and on May 10th with the work of Jill Patrick.
