Decatur Arts Festival

May 27th, 2006 at 1.00pm

On May 27th, WTP will present two short plays during the Decatur Arts Festival.

The 18th Annual Decatur Arts Festival will be held on the square in historic Decatur, Georgia, just minutes from downtown Atlanta. The Artists Market will be open on Saturday, May 27, from 10 am until 6 pm, and on Sunday, May 28, from 11 am until 6 pm. The festival features continuous entertainment and performing arts at the Community Bandstand adjacent to the Artists Market. Food vendors, Fine Arts Exhibition, Literary Arts Festival, New Dance, Film Festival and Children's Arts Festival are also part of the festival activities.

WTP will present readings of two short plays:

The Name Game, by Hank Kimmel: For those who have ever forgotten the name of someone they should know, this short play will strike a chord.

Blue Water Fishing, by Valetta Anderson: Set in the ever-moving present. A multigenerational family greets a tragedy common to any generation and time.
