WTP's Playwrights &... Series brings Hilary King to Wordsmiths Books

Nov. 14, 2007 7:30 p.m.

The final installment of Working Title’s 2007 Playwrights &... Series brings Hilary King to the boards with her own unique storytelling event at Wordsmiths Books.

Turning a poet’s eye to church life in Matthew, Mark, Luke & Potluck: Church Poems by Hilary King, the Affiliate Playwright celebrates the evidence of faith in every day living. Never preachy, Hilary shares poems about how to move your amen, bringing bells to Easter, and what if women had written the Bible.

Hilary King lives and works in Atlanta, where she writes poetry, plays, and short fiction but not in that order.    Her work has been featured at Eyedrum, the Academy Theatre, and the Decatur Arts Festival. She founded the Arts in Atlanta website (www.artsinatlanta.org) in order to collect and celebrate the many wonderful arts resources in the Atlanta area.  She thanks her husband for his support and her children for occasionally sleeping and giving her a chance to write.

WTP’s  Playwrights &... Series is funded in part by Poets & Writers, Inc.
